New guy here

I recently purchased 1982 18.5 ft Checkmate Eluder bowrider with 200 hp Mariner. Boat is in excellent original condition except for one Heavy Duty Ride Glide steering cable 14'-6 in and some keel damage I suspect from previous owner not having trailer deep enough when loading. I am not a fan of keel rollers. Any help with this cable would be appreciated. I am located in Medicine Hat Alberta Canada

Welcome to the forum, I can’t help you with the steering issues as my old Eluder was an I/O. But having another guy from Alberta with a Checkmate on here is fun.

thanks, still haven't decide if I will keep her, love the boat , great 200 Mariner but the foam is saturated and if I was 10 years younger I would tackle the resto . Thinking of looking for one that has had all the work done
