Putt'n a Yamaha prop on a Mercruiser

I've just bought this really nice Yamaha 'Turbo' prop. It's a 14 3/4 29 pitch 3 blade with some serious rake to it. I really want to try it on my Mercruiser. The splines fit perfect, but it takes a different thrust washer. I went to a Yamaha dealer and now I have a thrust washer that fits this prop, but the washer does not fit the outdrive. I'm wondering if anyone has ran a Yamaha Hubbed prop on a Mercruiser and what thrust washer did you use?
