Thru hull exhaust

slakk

New member
Hi there group.Im in the process of installing thru hull exhaust on a 91 Senator with 350 mercruiser and the swim grid is making things a little tight. Iwould like to run silent choice but dont know if i will have the room to install with s pipes to get the tips closer to center to fit under the raised portion of the swim grid.anyone out there with a Senator or Ambassador with thru hull exhaust?:brickwall:

Any input would be great ,time to get boating here on the west coast of Canada

Thanks Duane 91 20ft Senator 350 mercruiser

Welcome to the board . Their are alot of helpful people here and good threads to read. I glad you bought a Checkmate

This is just my opinion do not take it personal

You want threw hull exhaust. And for that reason I feel you want to here your boat rumble as of 99% of this site. I would not waste your money on silent choice. Let that engine grawl I want to here it comming and going at 4 in the morning till midnight.

Who cares what grumpy granny says on the poontoon. To me silent Choice is

a waste of money.

if you can't get it through the back, what about out the sides ala crownline. i kind of like that look actually.

I would love to just run open exhaust like I always have but the law is getting tougher on noise up here.I have had big blocks in the past and they arent as loud or have a nicer rumble than a small block. Also having kids now(mr responsible)want to avoid arguments with the law or sailboaters or kyakers(which we have a lot of all three up here now)lol. just wondering if anyone that has a swim grid like on my senator is running thru hulls?I think ambassadors are the same not sure if any other models

thanks Duane

I don't know about placement on your set up but. You can get a straight through switchable muffler system. basically a straight systaem with a muffler in it that alows a straight flow.
