Transducer placement

Hi everyone. New to the group. I just bought a 1978 Trimate IV. it's been recently restored and I am looking to add a garmin striker 4. Where and how is the best way to mount the transducer? Garmin says to check with manufacturer and I'm not sure how to do that. Thanks.

Please post a picture of the back of transom of the boat and send a picture of the transducer. Most likely you want it on the 3rd chine up from the pad
