1991 Pulse Top Speed

Sbrag

Hi I have a 1991 pulse 186 with a 1991 Merc 175 ss 22 pitch racing prop. With 3 adults it goes 50-52. With just my 170 pound nephew in the boat it goes 59-60. Is that about right? I expected a little more. Your thoughts?

That's about right for that boat. A little setup work and you could get into the low 60's but that's about it. I always felt the Pulse 186/185 model should have been rated for more power.

My 3 Checkmates (Preductor, Eluder, Enchanter) all go right around 60 with the same Mariner (Merc) 175 and a 25 pitch prop.
