    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Yeah that's a fair point. I figured someone could sell their 300xs to pay for a set of low hour twins and rigging, transom plate, etcetera.

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Okay, who has a BRX and wants to experiment??? http://outboardsmotorengine.com/products/USED-PAIR-OPTIMAX-250-HP-MERCURY-TWO-SROKE-OUTBOARD-MOTORS.html

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Why yes, that's almost exactly it!!! Except I seem to have fallen in love with this color scheme.....:

As far as twins, I'm looking at Hayabusa's custom transom mount. And it looks like to me if you were to make the external vertical plate wider, mount the trim tabs on IT, then as long as the transom well was wide enough to accommodate both motors at full up tilt.... it looks like it might not be...

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

What are people doing for swimming and re-entry to the boat? Just a ladder, a stubby platform, or what?

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Oh trust me I'll end up with something crazy eventually. The appeal of being the only twin BRX is strong, lol. I'd rather run twin 300s and be able to do 70+mph with 6 people and full tank, with a good hole shot....

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Any pointers in particular where you think the BRX is superior? I'm leaning that way anyway, I like the lines better and I like the setup better inside, but I was wondering what you liked better specifically.

Well, that's encouraging! I wonder if time to plane was any much improved. Do you recall these members by name? Would like to read their posts.

Oh yeah buddy! I need to finish reading your build thread. I wonder if a Seven Marine 554 is too heavy for a BRX? Lol! If only I was rich.... https://youtu.be/5v00BYmiMJw

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

What I'd REALLY love to do is find a ZT230BR with a Bravo and either a broken motor or no motor at all, and do an LS motor swap in it, as those motors are my forte and can make crazy power.

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

I see, thanks for the tip. I'd hate to spend $10k+ more on a motor and be disappointed. Can work be done to the 300XS ?

Haha that sounds awesome. The more I think about it there more I want to go with the 2400.

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

His Baja is just like mine, an Islander 188 with a 383 stroker and a hot cam for power, to an alpha 1 with a 23p Mirage prop. An automotive shop built the motor, they claim 500hp. He says it'll do 70 with 4 people and 80 with 2, but I've yet to see it since his tachometer is broken and he hasn't...

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

I've boated on Erie for 20 years on everything from a 16 foot aluminium bass tracker to a 28 for Baha Cruiser, and I agree on anything but the calmest days, high freeboard and 25 foot length are basically required. Living in the Akron area, my trips to Erie would only be on calm days, but I...

    2400 BRX vs 230ZT BR

Hello there. I'm currently researching my next boat, and I have always wanted a checkmate, since my uncle had one years ago. I currently have a Baja Islander 188, with some engine work, I've had it to 70 with two people, but haven't played with props. I still want an open bow, but I want to go...
