    i was installing some new stainless steel bolts for the 90 HP merc on the checkmate late last season, and i noticed that the wood in the transom where the bolt was goin through was really spungy. and i am not sure if the transom need replacing or not. any good ideas on how to check? and also if...

    hey. I'm new to this site. and just got my first checkmate boat. just got a 1982 90 Hp outboard merc for it. runs like a dream. i would like to post a pic, but dunno if i have to have the picture already hosted on a site or not. thanks, any imput would be very helpfull. muskie..
