    Possible Deck Scratches

    I use a rubber bath mat (white) and lay it on my bow if we have to walk on the deck of my 253. Then roll it up and stow it when not in use.

    A friend of mine put stainless marine exhaust on his 95 261 persuader with a 454 mag carb. and lost 2 mph. I put gils on my 96 253 convincer with a 454 mag efi and gained 1 mph.     I also have a pro-charger in my 253 w/a454 mag efi. You should consider changing the head gaskets for better ones,also I don't know if your heads have iconel exhaust valves, but if not I would change to those also. If procharger has you returning the fuel to the back of your fuel pump change...

    I have figured a way to open the hatch if it won't open. Take out the vent on the outside of the hull, stick a broom handle or something strong in the hole and knock the clip off and then push the pin out of the ram at the hatch.
