90 Spectra BR

I have a 90 model 201 BR Spectra right now it is a hull with all hardware striped off and geting ready to buff . It's red and white the boat is real solid and in good shape for it's age.. some of the interior is useable and some needs to be replaced. I have a 6" jack plate left over from one of the Allisons that I am going to use and a set of 4" ext if I need them.
It will be powered with a 225 Evinrude with fingerports the ports have been jacked some behind the linner work has been done, Bosen two stage reeds, heads have been shaved .060, light flywheel, balanced crank, match weight rods,TRW .020 pistons, 20" offshore center section, lower unit has a nose cone and a custom stainless cavitation plate... I have carbs of all three sizes and several different cowlings and intake set ups I've never ran a boat this heavy so I guess I'll change things around and play with the setup till I can make it run right I've learned a lot from reading on this site that should be a great help !!! stay in touch with your progress and I will do the same. :bigthumb:

You can see there is a lot of work to do. Way to many holes in the dash...
I love the way they mounted the compass next to a marine radio when you turn the key on the compass goes north.. the hull is real good just water sand and buff the bottom of the hull has no scratches and the floor board is soild... the guy down here that certifies the comerical boats done an ultra sound on the transom and it is real solid

I had a Spectra 201

1989 Spectra 201 with a 1996 225 EFI 3 litre. Basically the setup was simple 9.5" setback with Hyd. lift. running a 25p tempest. Tops speed was 71.? on GPS. Normally the boat would break 70 every day. the motor was bone stock and the lower unit had a low water pickup. I spent years getting the rigging perfect trying different props and setups.

some time in 2005 my boat was boat of the month but I can only find one of the votes

http://checkmate-boats.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3616&highlight=ianz+boat+month

good luck, the spectra is a great riding boat and had the looks of a much longer boat.
