me too, i was gonna have a vinyl pouch made to protect it but still have no real good place to put it. i like the idea under the dash, maybe theres a way to fabricate a couple brackets to slide it into or something...
You should install Plexiglas in center windshield section. I did this last year and it is a lot lighter and easy to move around if needed. I was very surprise how heavy it was with temper glass in it.I decided to store mine in my very front bow seat, I carpeted the inside rear of the seat compartment and the top front edges where it rest. I still have to put glass in my window frame and install the snaps for the bow cover to the window frame also. I will then us a strap with a snap on it screwed the the seat base and snap it to the window where I now have the green tape. Seems like it will be nice and solid and out of the way.

Mine was missing also when I bought the boat, so kip sent me a over sized one and i cut it down and installed plex.Thats exactly what I did, I put 1/8'' clear in it and is at tint shop now. When I bought this boat they had lost the window so I got a oversized one from Cmate and cut it to fit. Glass company wanted $160 to cut the replacement for it. It got plex.
