2000 259 convincor refresh

Checkmate259

Hello all,

I have a 2000 259 convincor with purple interior, looking at getting new snap in carpet, running into a couple snags, searched the forum found a couple things, but not the info I was after. Does anyone know where I can get purple 40 oz snap in carpet? Also looking to add full bimini and canvas but can't find many pictures of it. What heights and lengths did you guys find to work? Looking at 32 high 6 feet long?...

I just had a new 40 oz snap in made for my 253 Convincor by Corinthian carpet out of Oregon. I made a paper template of my floor rolled it up and shipped to them in a tube. Recieved my carpet in a couple weeks. Turned out real nice. Did not reinstall the snaps. Stays put without them. Cost around $375

I was just in contact with them, they said they do not have a template for my boat, yours looks almost identical. and they quoted me rough estimate of 500-700$$$ I just got 40oz carpet from great lakes skipper 6 foot by 20 foot rolls to do cockpit and cabin for 200$ figure I can cut it myself and have local shop put biding around it for less than 50$ I'll post finished picture when I am compete hopefully next weekend. carpet looks great, mine is purple of course so I went black now. as I was having a hard time matching the purple.

Sounds like you have it handled. I also redid my cabin carpet. If I may give you a tip. "Pay attention to the grain of the carpet before you cut any pieces for the cabin area". If you play around with the carpet you will notice that it will look much nicer rolled around an outside corner in one direction than it will look in any of the other 3 directions. What I am trying to say is Less backing will show through on 1 of the 4 axis's you have to choose from.

Some pics. of the cabin. I ended up unscrewing my cabinets so I could carpet under them. A ton of work but I am glad I did it.
I have also looked into having a bimini and full camper enclosure made for my boat. Received a quote of $3000 over the phone. Little more than I want to spend this year. If you find anything let me know.

cabin looks very nice! mine is all gel coat down there so I will be placing the black carpeting under cushions on vberth, down the front by porta poti, and on the floor. I like how yours wraps up and around under the lounge seats down there might have to order some more carpet and do that as well. its amazing how many different varies I have seen for the 98-2001 years. check into anp.ca for the bimini, you might find what you like, also I don't know wehere your located, but a local company here in green bay, wi and in sturgeon bay quoted 1200-1500 depending on amount of strengthening to the bimini from anp. I went with black sunbrella, 9.25 oz I think?

What did you guys measure for square feet in the cockpit? I need to get some for mine but can not measure my floor right now.

my rough measurements were 6'x6' doing by myself in the pouring rain. cabin floor was 2x4 and vberth was 6 at widest point and 8 feet deep and then 28 inches down the front by porta poti
