1986 Enchanter I/O for sale

Asking $8000.00 or best reasonable offer pre-season and price will go up in spring. I wanted to post here first before it goes out to general public. Cost $3000 for outdrive build and $7000 for motor including all accessorizes.

Short story:
I am the 4th owner of this boat. My older brother bought the boat in 1990 and sold it about 2000. He wouldn't sell it to me then cause i was 16. lol. Back then it was a 350 with a blower on it. The guy he sold it to blew it up shortly after and boat sat till i bought it in 2007. I took the winter and restored everything on boat but floor and engine area. I gutted the boat. Had to wet sand the boat at 3 different levels of grit and then use 3 stage 3M compound and buff then wax. Countless hours to
bring her back to life. In 2014 boat got a soft spot in front of driver seat. so in 2015 i ripped boat apart again and redid floor from front to back including stringers.I have a love for this boat and hate to sell her. Specially after all the money ive put into her. But i now have a pontoon boat with waterslide for my kids to enjoy. So i wanna post boat up here with hopes someone else who has a love for checkmate boats. I have about 95% of all receipts of everything i have put into boat. See following for a list of whats done.

From the outside in. Exterior is in very good shape for its age. Couple of scratches from over the years. Gel coat is near excellent when waxed up. Only thing original is the rails, bow light tow hook and windshield. Has new vents for motor compartment. Also has new motor hatch locks from checkmate. Also built a custom full length platform for boat. Sent my alpha 1 outdrive out to RLC Engineering in New Jersey> Unfortunately its not shortened as i didn't have the funds for that.Rich did go
through it and put all new parts in it and molded in a new nose cone. Outdrive is mounted to boat and has no miles on it yet. Still needs to be broken in.

On the inside from front to back. Boat has new floor, stringers and motor mounts. Transom has nothing wrong with it. Still have original mat that goes under bow for laying on and its in excellent shape. Interior is the original layout. I have reupholstered the interior with tan marine material with maroon piping. All new charcoal grey marine carpet. In 2008 i replaced all the wiring in boat, all new gauges, Push to start, new cables from helm to transom, new steering assembly, new throttle and much more. I have also upgraded stereo with cd player and mp3 hook ups. Had custom pods built to accommodate 2 speakers for rear seating. So boat has 4 6" speakers powered by 4 channel amp. Also has a 10" bass tube powered by amp.

Boat is powered by a 383 stroker with blower, a 1 year old holley 4 barrel double pump marine carb and MSD 6ml2 ignition with rev set to 6000rpm. Motor was built by Gollands Engines who is a performance engine builder in New Hampshire. Motor was built around the blower. Motor was not dynoed but was said to have about 400hp with out blower. Blower has pulley that gives roughly 9psi. I have the spec sheet for motor build. Boat is running a 23 pitch cleaver prop. On gps boat does 79-80 @
5800-5900 rpm. I have not tried out new outdrive with new nose cone or different props. Motor has about 175 hours on it and has been freshened up, inspected and tuned by Gollands on the water. Also upon putting boat back together i replaced all belts, spark plugs and oils. Boat is ready to drop in and go after outdrive break in procedure. Which i will start is=n spring if boat isnt sold.

Trailer is in very good shape for its age as well. Carpet on bunks is very good as i always floated boat on. Lights are all works from when i rebuilt trailer. Trailer is painted black, has trailer jack and bearing are about 4 years old and excellent. Tires are very road worthy to. Only issue is front hitch area has rust and anyone with welding skills can fix.

I will post up several pic and have several more from the build. Contact me with any info as im sure there is stuff i missed. Boat is probably a 7.8-8 outta 10. Boat has always been garage stored since i have owned it and restored it. Contact me or post up with any questions.

Thanks
Jay

Last picture is a picture of the new exhaust pipes i had made. Next picture is of motor. But its showing old pipes. All other picture are from about 2 weeks ago.

Scratch that. I will get a picture of motor tomorrow and post up. Also out drive has a drive shower that isnt out back on yet. And i also have gear smart installed so you can monitor outdrive temp.

Thank u very much. I love the boat which is why I bought it and Def put way more money into it then it's worth. But the end result got me a lot of fun and kept it living for many more years to come. Now I hope the next person keeps up with it.

Update on boat. I spent all of the weekend cleaning up the gelcoat. Boat shines almost like new. She is now registered and ready for the water. I will slowly be breaking in the new outdrive. Took out for a test run today and no leaks and everything shifted awesome.
