1989 18' I/O Checkmate-Whats It Called?

Brother in law has inherited a like-new 1989 Checkmate 18 footer, that has a MerCruiser 5.7L I/O in it. Black gelcoat. What model did they call it & does anyone have any other info they can share about them? It is in northern Michigan on a 1992 trailer & he will most likely sell it, as he lives in the desert in Nevada. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks:)
 
Well, it could be one of four. Exciter, Starfire, Starlet or Eluder. Any of these sound familiar? If we could get a pic it would be easy.
