Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

Z, I make alot more than I find, I just figures it helps to get as much up front as possible.
The 253 (now the 270) is/was an awesome boat. It has a great rough water ride for its relative small size. I had a couple of friends with the 253, one with the 454 mag, and another with the 502, man were they awesome boats. Sitting on the trailer does not sdo that boat justice, absolutely beautiful in the water.

Yes. I agree its better to be up front with everything. I like the way the ZT sits in the water more though. Whats some speeds for the boat?

Z, you may recall the following:

Come on everyone let's all get along! Seriously!

Having looked for a Pulsare in Ontario for such a long time, I know how difficult it is to find one. They are extremely rare...as a matter of fact Checkmates are extremely rare in Ontario as far as I am concerned.

I was lucky enough to find mine last spring at Rideau Ferry Marine. Although I wanted a 2100BR with a 225HP, I "settled" for a 1995 2100 closed bow with a 2.5 litre XRi 200HP EFI V6. I got a wicked deal and will be able to use it for 2 to 3 years without loosing a cent, just like I did with my Sportfire!

Z, I would love to see you buy a boat (we could for for a cruise sometime). Z and all other fellow members here is the deal.

My friends at Rick's Marine in Perth have informed me of their inventory of Checkmates:
1. Brand New 2100 Pulsare Closed Deck, white w.blk/red, motor is up to you!
2. 1997 2100 Pulsare Closed Deck, black w.red/wht, 225ProMax, trailer incl.
3. 1993 Pulse 183, colour?, 135hp Merc, trailer?
4. 1996 Convincor 254, white w.teal, 454, trailer optional.
I was waiting for more information on these boats and pictures from Rick's Marine to post on our site because I like to provide the whole story. If anyone goes to visit Rick's Marine, mention Steve with the 1995 Pulsare sent you. They are fantastik to deal with from my experiences. Sorry, it will have to be the information only for now! When I get the pictures I will post them with extra details.

I hope this information helps someone find their dream boat. I know how hard it is to find Checkmates up here in Ontario...EH!!!

P.S. Please be nice to eachother , and if anyone is going to be a jerk with my friends at Rick's Marine...do not mention my name !

I feel the need for speed!

I see... It all works together. They had it in stock, but now they have it up on Boat Trader...

Bill, I caught one of your mistakes. The 253 is not the 270, it is the old 259. I find that not posting is a good way for me to not make many mistakes.
