Wonder how he came up with that engine size?? He might mean 2.5 liter 175 horse, which would be a great combo. CMate didn't make a whole lot of those playmates with the V6 Mercury jet motor
 
That would be a 175 sport jet, I think. Has a 2.5 v-6 powerhead spinning a 7-1/4 inch impellor.I have'nt as yet been able to determine the numbers of the Playmate Jets that were produced. Does anyone out there know? This is the open bow model. It was called a Playmate Jet. The closed bow version like mine was called a Playmate Sport. Information from the factory indicates that there were "Fewer" of the closed bow models produced. A stock 175 Sportjet puts this machine in the 50+ mph club. Boat in picture looks very nice. I would love to have the swimstep for mine...
