'74 trimate for sale - project boat

I have a 1974 Tri-Mate with a 1978 150h Evinrude (well, that's what the cover says but it's actually a 225h I believe) aka "Miss Behavin". It runs fine as we had it out a few times last year but could use a good, solid tune up and a new battery. The transom needs work and the gel coat is rough. I guess if there's any good thing about the repair is that the fiberglass is still in tact and it's just the wood core that needs replacing (so I'm told). It was also suggested that we put a regular clear coat on instead of a new gel coat (far less $$) It has a new throttle and steering cable and the interior is in fair shape (all new wood on the seats) though the carpet should be replaced. The tilt trailer is in much better condition (small amts of surface rust) with all new wiring, lights and tires. In researching the boat I've found the hull is very uncommon. We received the boat as a project from my Dad who's owned it since new. I ***love*** the boat but we don't have the tools and especially time to invest in this right now with the small kids. I'd rather see someone make something out of it rather then let it sit and deteriorate any further. I have it listed on Craigslist for $1700 OBO and I took the pricing based primarily on the value of the trailer and motor (and the new parts imstalled) http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/boa/759007545.html. Feel free to email me for more pics - tjahwk@frontiernet.net (Western WI area)
