I have a 1986 Checkmate Sportfire for sale blue with silver accents. Includes Evinrude 140 HP VRO with 2 SS props and Eagle bunk trailer. Excellent condition (garage kept) Original owner with all original documentation and subsequent records. 63 MPH with one on board. New factory interior 2006, New steering cable 2004. Tripod ski pole, boarding ladder, mooring cover and all safety gear included. $7,500 or best offer. The boat is located just south of Cleveland Ohio. Never kept in the water and only used in fresh. I bought it to go fast, meet girls and water ski. Now I golf, I am married and my wife and I don't ski that much anymore. It has been a great boat, and if our interests hadn't changed I would keep her, but we used her only once last year and once or twice the year before. Please let me know if you know anyone who might be interested in great boat.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I used her a lot when I first bought it. The boat has always been on a trailer and never really had a rope tide to it, other than a ski rope. So that means she hasn't bounced off a dock. I've stored her in a heated garage for most of her life, well the last 16 years anyway. I think all of that and not using her much over the last ten years has helped to keep her looking so young.

Wow, so that's what it looks like when someone takes care of a checkmate! very nice boat, won't find one that nice for that price anywhere. I'm sure you will miss it. good luck. -shane

Thanks for all of the comments, I wanted to let you know the boat sold yesterday. I will try to remove it from the marketplace forum ASAP.
