A different Convincer

I just bought a very nice 1977 Convincer. Its all original. It has a 403 Olds (Hardin Marine) and a Panther jet pump. ( the pump is shot). I,m doing a Berkley conversion. Never seen one of these. Was told they only made them two years. The boat is solid and very clean. Came from Ill. One owner. Its yellow and rootbeer. Are these rare? Raider

I,ll get more pix of the setup this week. I,m going to put a JE in place of the Panther using an adapter we,re building. Raider

Sanger455 and George at ARS marine are doing the pump work. Its getting the super roost booster cause I like soakin the women in the summer! Theres a group of us that run the Ohio River on the OH-IND. border.

Looks like a Tri-Mate hull. I wonder if Kip or Mike can tell us how many of these were made?

x2 on the Trimate looks.

Does it say 'Convincor' on that badge? I couldn't blow the picture up any bigger. Maybe CM used the Convincor name on this setup first, and since they made so few they moved the name over to the big boys since it sounds so cool?

Original Convincor.....

yea that is a Convincor .......first model to use that name. Actually pulled the name out of mothballs for offshore boat line ( Convincor series of boats ). Popular model in that time frame......not a lot of jet powered ones though.

Cool boat, nice find!! Looks just like the one Lakeside Restorations have on there web site that they restored/customized. It was an I/O but same boat. Oh yeah, love the shots you have in your photobucket of the "Suck My Wake" flatbottom from The Great Outdoors movie, man i haven't seen that movie in years!!
