alpha one problems

Its a 1989 larson senza 210lx with a alpha 1 SE drive and 350 engine . Well i pulled the drive do to a over heat problem and found some things. First the impeller looked pretty good but the housing was bent inside and the plastic had melted and the rubber bushing on top was trashed.

Now the big problem, the drive shaft in the lower looks bad. The teeth on the top of the shaft are almost gone and about 80% is gone. So my two questions are , how do i get the impeller off the shaft its stuck and how hard is it to replace the drive shaft to the lower

Time for a complete, new or rebuilt outdrive. If you replace only the lower the old upper may decide to chew up the new lower too.
Replacement on eBay is around $1400....
