This makes me wonder why the 2400 is not available with twin's.

Twin 280's on a 2400 would be sick, but they are few and far between these days....

What motor would you guys use????? The weights of todays engines would be my primary concern.

I love the idea of a big old bracket with twins on a 2400 with no splashwell!!!!!!!!!:thumb:

LOL...somebody found the ole' 221 Champion project boat. That was a little experiment Champion did back in 97 just to see how their 22'er (the largest bass boat hull at the time, and still one of them) would handle twins. It was pretty neat, and caused alot of talk, but sadly, she never did see tripple digits. That's right! I believe the top end was around 97. It was terribly tail heavy, and the boat just wasn't built to run with that much weight in the tail. My dad was actually living in Mountain Home Ar. at the time, and he saw it headed over to Bull Shoals for a run. He called me the same day and told me about it. He thought he was seeing things until it later became front page news on Bass and Walleye boats. Neat article if you ever get the chance to read it!

I can put twins on this 21ft Liberator bassboat. I also have a pair of 2005 15" 280 ROS motors for sale.

Wildman we have a project for you! pulsare 2400 with twins! I asked you about this awhile back and you said it was too light, but if i could swing the cash I would be the guinnea pig. I still think it would sell. 200's 225's 250's 300's they would sell. A buddy of mine had a 24' sonic
v-hull with 2.4's nice boat.

If you have the money. I'll get one built one way or another. I have a pair of 2005 15" 280hp Race Offshore Mercs. They've been sitting on a motor stand since 2005. I'd bet the boat could run close to 100 with them. Call me . Days 386-761-8050, Nights till midnight-386-788-4378. I could probably get it in a magazine.

$13,500 for the RH. They are all new inside. Mercury pistons, rings, bearings etc. The guy had them freshened at the end of every year. They need to be broken in. He spent $4000 per motor.
