I have a 22' checkmate maxxum with a 502 merc/bravo one pkg. The boat came with a 23 Mirage Plus mercprop on it. I am breaking the engine in and it ran right up to mid 70's with 4300 rpm and power much left. Anybody know what to run on this boat for max mph and good on plane performance. Boat seemed to chine walk a little w/o any trim tab use. tnx for ur help. I am new to big mota checkmate i/o boats.

Your RPM's seem low for the 502 as Max WOT should be around 5000 RPM with the Rev limiter set at 5150 RPM. These boats seem to best run overall with a 4 blade. I found the best speed prop for my Stiletto was a Mirage not Mirage Plus. I did see a 22P Bravo 1 for sale on the FB page but I would think you should be able to run a 24P.

rpm

I am breaking the cam and engine in so I only ran it up to 4200 rpm once and it hit 74mph. It had pleanty left but I did not want to push it as it began to chine walk a little. I spent the 2 hrs between 2300-3500 and didnt use any trim tab.
