Boat Owners Regional Chapters

Can we create some area networks of Checkmate Owners? It would be great to know who and what boats are in our area. This would certainly increase local networking and make events like Rally's or Poker Runs way easier to market and target to a region. For example we could set up by State and Province or by boating area or Lake(s). I would be interested in getting a Muskoka Region Chapter going in Ontario.

Would anyone like a Ontario, Muskoka or Canadian specific chapter?

Let's hear your thoughts and some proposed names and areas that the chapter(s) would cover. :)

Muskoka Chapter?

I'm in for that. Being new to the site with so little posts makes me feel like the new kid on the school yard. Wish i could have made the run on the big 3 on the 22nd of August.

i'm in for an ontario chapter (muskoka might be a bit small an area). you missed a great day saturday. hopefully this will be the first of many!

Any name suggestions? :)

I was hoping to get create a chapter, but we didn't get much feedback on what area it should cover or what some good name suggestions would be.

I thought a Canadian chapter would be cool, but maybe that's too big.

I think it would be awesome! But why limit it to JUST a canadian chapter? Why not have sub sections on the board for "northeast CM's" "mid-Atlantc CM's" " Southeast CM's" etc...? That way "locals" could plan some get togethers on the water, or wrenchin days , etc.... I'm ALL for it!!!!!!!!!!:bounce:

OH MAN, DO I FEEL STUPID!!! I apologise- I have always just clicked the "new posts" button- and have never actually "browsed" the catagories- DUH! Sorry! Looks like I need to spend some more time really going through the board- and not just the new stuff, or pix! LOL! :eyecrazy:

canadian chapter may be too big, thinking it should be done provincially?

i know this is shockingly original but what about "Ontario Chapter"

Hopefully you'll find a chapter that covers your area. If not, you can always start a thread and see if there's some other members that would also be interested too. :)

We can do Ontario if you like. I was thinking something that covered Quebec and Ontario might be nice as Claupie is near by.

But I'll create whatever the group likes. :)

how about something that covers central N. America, seems like it wouldn't be fair to discriminate against the south (OHIO, Michigan, etc...) since they do come up for rallys. Or is this too big? Come to think of it it may be. Ont & Que would be o.k. I'm Game!:thumb:
