If you where in the market for a brand new boat and had to decide between the Convincer 270 or ZT 260/280 which would you choose and why? Which would be the fastest boat? Help me out fellas I have hit a wall.:thumb:

do you prefer the older style transom straight drop or a molded swim platform? lots of guys here like the older style, i used to be one myself but after seeing a few in the water i really like both. as far as speed i would think that with equal power they are within 5 to 6 mph of each other. the zt280 has a listed weight of 900 lbs more than the 270. I used to have a 1997 253 which i think is a 270 today they just count the swim platform now as they do on the 280. If your buying new try and buy the biggest boat you can afford so you dont develope 2 ft itis , if your shopping used look at all 3 260, 270 ,280 find the best freshwater low hour boat you can find.

Holy Smokes, you didn't just happen to buy that Black ZT 280 from Duckys in Harrisburg PA did you? I wanted to buy that boat but it was sold...

i got my boat at diamond marine in Ct, but i bought my 253 and zt 240 from Tom at Duckys. funny thing was at the time i bought the zt240 i was almost going to buy the 280 that he had. but for me the orange and black boat looked awesome. a year later i needed a bigger boat and the one at diamond had more bling and better colors IMO . that 280 at duckys was a great deal hopefully i can see it on the water if they run the north cheasapeake. are you looking for a great deal on a leftover.
