Covering old rigging hole in splash-well?

So my boat is a 95 Pulsar & the old rigging hole will not work with my new engine. Or I should say the Optimax rigging hose base grommet diameter is to small to cover the existing hole. So what I would like to do is cover the old hole & then install the new hydraulic steering lines with bulk head fittings through the a cover of that hole. Trying think what I could use to cover the hole with though & have it look half way decent as its about a 6 inch diameter hole. Anybody else run into a issue like this?

build you and aluminium cap and put some flush mount allen head screws. they make them in stainless. so you could use a square or round cap a 1/2 bigger than the hole thats there now. then using a hole saw drill the proper hole for your new rigging. i did that on my fishing boat. hope this helps.

You can get an adjustable rubber boot with a zip tie to close the end up.
