This may be more of a factory ? maybe Kip will see this. I am redoing part of my floor and noticed in some of the mid 80's brochures, they put a in floor ski storage. Is it possible to do this to my 79'... Next? I noticed that my engine is mounted on the lower of the two sets of holes of my transom plate. Would it be beneficial to move the motor up, or is that a try and see things

Thanks
Dan

DT,I will let Kip answer the in floor locker question. On the engine mounting holes question you are correct it is a test/tune thing. If you want more speed and have a prop. that will still hook-up at the higher setting raising the motor is something to do. Just remember to seal the mounting bolts. Wet wood in the transom is no good.

If you have enough motor and prop, Go for it and get a good hydraulic Jack Plate w/ at least 6 inches of set back. A water presure gauge would be a good Idea.
