I have a 2009 Checkmate 270 Convinsor with a 496 HO. Blew a fuse or circuit breaker somewhere. No accessories working off toggle switches, both sides of steering wheel. Motor runs, trim works exhaust cut-outs work, no trim tabs, blower, depth finder, lights or bilge pump. Fuses behind dash are good. HELP!!!

I have a 2002 270, that said use a test light and start checking fuses on both sides of fuse. They may look ok but blown. start at engine fuses and go from there, then main power feed at fuse panel. If it's like mine... why the hell did checkmate hide it where they did????

Finally found this on top of the motor by the 50amp circuit breaker. At first I thought it was just another wire connection. It has a black cap over the fuse but it was facing down. 20 amp fuse in this was blown. Only took me 5 hrs to find it.

No mystery. I was using a vacuum that plugs in the cig lighter, my wife was driving, blower on, depth finder on, when she hit the trim tabs, that's when it blew. I think the vac was pulling too many amps with the other stuff on. Had it out all day yesterday. No issues.

Yeah, the trim tabs on my Formula draw a lot of power, they should probably be on a separate fuse from everything else.
