Jackplate

New member
I'm running a 5.5" jackplate on my 21' Enchanter with 2.6 Evinrude. Shaft is running 3" below pad. It's raised as high as it will go, old jackplate. Would I do better with a 10" plate? Running 18 lbs. wp at 5k with no nose cone.

OOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm VERY interested in seeing what's said on this thread! I have a 2.4 merc 10" setback/ jackplate and also at @ 3" below- havent run mine yet ( still waiting on a prop AND cables to get shipped!) Need water scoops ( would love to find the $20 ones everyone talks about- but starting to believe they are a unicorn) I can't wait to see what all is said about Enchanter performance/ setup!!! Good post larwat!

Want me to come down and get that 200 from ya?? I could make good use of it! :bigthumb:

larwat- I'm sure you could benefit from more setback, and it wouldn't hurt to get something that gave you the freedom to move up more if you want.
