Dear Y'all,
Yesterday we reached a board milestone as we had our 200th member join the community. It's hard to believe our community has even grown to the level of 200 members. But indeed it has, and so quickly too! So I thought I would take the opportunity to say a few words......
So here it goes.....
To JW and Gus....
Thanks for all your efforts that go on behind the scenes, (usually unnoticed I may add) and for always being there when the chips are down and cheering me up! You guys are, and will always be the "Super Mods"!
Rick....
Thanks for answering all of the non-stop, technical questions in the Ask the Experts forum. And for plugging the site just about everywhere you go! I hope you have a truly excellent year sellin' those Mates!
Kip....
Thanks to you and your family, for creating awesome boats for 40 Years! They are what inspire all of us fanatics to come here on a regular basis, and act like a bunch of little kids in a candy store. And a personal thanks, for "silently" supporting the place in a number of ways. Especially for continuing to respond to my daily email requests for archived pics of one thing or another. Thankfully, you haven't hit the block sender button yet! Oh damn, perhaps you didn't know there was one...
To all the members...
Thanks for coming to the place and sharing. You are what has made the board what it is today. Let's face it, if you didn't come here on a regular basis the board would be useless. Many of you often send thank you emails to me for running the board. And thank you for them! But really, the truth is, without you, the board would be long gone. When I come home after a long day at work and the online now box is full of names of people and all the light bulbs are lit up with new posts in almost every forum......that is the biggest thanks you can give me. So.....really.....thanks to all of you!
In closing....
I hope everyone has a really safe and enjoyable boating season. I hope everyone plays safe and stays safe. I'm really looking forward to sitting up at the cottage table and checking out all the great Checkmate Pics from all over the world. It's hard to believe that it was only late last September that I decided to put together our little EZ Board so a few people who were exchanging email pics of Checkmates could have a place to post a few messages.
And finally....
I would be remiss if during a war time like this, I didn't send out a thanks to all of the troops from around the world fighting for our freedom. I know right now many of our governments from around the world are in disagreement on what the best approach to protecting that freedom is, so I think it's really important for the common people of the world to come together, regardless of whether our political leaders are getting along or not, and celebrate the great things in life that we all share! We must remember, that which unites all of us, far outweighs that which divides us, something I think some of our politicians often forget.
See you out on the board!
Chris
