"Love Boat" gone for ever

In my opinion, this is a disgraceful end to one of the last beautiful cruise ships.
Yes, the cruise ships built and operated today are BIG HUGE hunks of beauty and technological marvels.

BUT......

The ones today are soooooo big and sooooo technologically advanced, they just don't seem to have a soul.
The Pacific Princess {The Love Boat} was a small {comparativley speaking} ship that was quaint, easy to get around as a passenger, not overly crowded, the kind and size of ship where if at anytime your just walking around you were almost assurd to run into the captain, -- the kind of ship whereas it was big enough to navigate all the planets oceans, yet just small enough to still FEEL the ocean under you, and to actually FEEL the engines moving you along, and to actually be able to slightly smell the ocean air no matter where in the ship you were.......
Those are a few of the things that gave this kind of cruise ship a SOUL.
Todays cruise ships are unbelievably huge, -- they have become soooo huge that in most cases it's easy to forget your even on a boat.
I personally had the pleasure of being a passenger on the Pacific Princess once, ----- I have also been on quite a few other cruise ships {including the two current largest ships the Oasis and the Allure and a host of others and even a couple of awesome scooners, so I do speak from practical experience.

I personally am a little sad and disappointed to see such a beautiful vessel disgraced and scapped like this.
Call me crazy, but I am a lover of the ocean and it's ships.
A moment of silence...................................................
