mercruiser 140 rebuild

I want to rebuild my 140 this winter. My 79 tri-mate is just old and makes old noises so why not rebuild it and while i'm in there add some horse power too. So if you have ideas or a place to get parts from that would be great. The web has not given up any good info on the 140 yet. Many stock rebuilds out there but no hi-performance parts...that i can find anyway.

thanks guys

There are zero hop-up parts for the mercruiser 120, 130, and 140 engines. If you want power, you'll have to install a 4.3 V6. Otherwise, build your current motor for reliability and fuel economy...........
