Any chance we could get the locations of everyone interested (SERIOUSLY interested) and pick someplace based on that? Houghton would work fine for me, but seems like a long way from some of the guys over on the west side. It's really too bad that there aren't any lakes in the south central area (i.e. Lansing) worth meeting at.
On second thought, I guess it's good that our state topography doesn't quite resemble a bowl. (New Orleans... )

With my schedule, my dates are the real killer for me.

I'll be in Waters (exit 270 on rt75) from tomorrow 'til the 14th. I can make it up to torch/elk, over to Burnt/Mullet or maybe even down to Higgens.

If anyone boats in MI and hasn't seen Torch, they are missing out, so that's my vote. But I'll be off of email after today so I'm not sure I'll make it. Ross has my #.

Ross - I'm not sure you'd want to cruise around with me at a blistering 35 mph with my boat full of kids, but I never had a chance last year to tip a beer with you and talk boats! We're going to torch at least once and I'll give you a call.

We've got the Convincor up on Higgins tonight through Saturday a.m. Headed to our place on Mission in TC to run Torch and or Bay Saturday and Sunday.

Torch is very nice, At Higgins, everyone could camp and party at South State park.....plus the water is nice and clean either place as compared to Houghton.

im headed up tuesday-sunday to the houghton higgins area. i'm staying in houghton but open to either lake. i could definatly do something the 11th or 12th on houghton or higgins

higgins next weekend (july 18)

gonna be camping up there with wife and kid wooooh, might get some time in the early AM for a couple of speed runs. my johnson has been running rough

also a whole pantload of my friends and i will be up there the whole last week of july and the first week of august. one of them just bought a new Four Winns SST, and while it sounds nice, my old Czechmate just walks away from it. A few weeks ago they got spanked by a really old Donzi as well
