What type/brand of exhaust tip is this? And are they any good? Can or should I remove the baffles? The engine is a 496 Mag.

Thanks
Chuck

Those look like the Corsa tips. from what I hear it is a royal PITA to remove the baffles and you are better off removing them and replacing with nice tips with internal flapper. I believe to gut them you have to remove them anyways to access rivets to drill out.

I had those same tips on my 253 when I bought it. I just removed them and put straight tips with baffles. Sounds a lot better!!

Remove those, the baffle is welded in. I had the same ones too. Your boat will sound and breath much better. Eddiemarine.com has a nice selection of tips with internal flappers.
