MX-14 floor

Currently playing around with an early 70's pos MX-14. Have removed most of the carpet and under the several layers of glue is a black and cream swirls paint that looks like the trunk liner in 60's Chevys, my question is " what would have been on the floors when these boats first came from the factory??? Could I use some of the bedliner from Autozone to paint the floor??? Thanks

I wouldn't. But I tend to go 'all in' when it comes to projects.

What's the condition of the floor? Almost a 50 year old boat, I would imagine it's ready to be torn out and replaced. Same for the transom.

Saw a video on u-tube of a MX-14 with a 1000 Merc, same color as mine, could be it's twin and I have the exact same floor as his, guess that is factory???
