I just purchased a 1981 Trimate 2 from a friend .It is in great shape,I been around the interenet looking for pics or any info, and that model seems to be the hardest to find.If any one has info please let me know.

1981 trimate 2

Well I have a 3 title one for motor, one for trailer and one that says 1981 Checkmate Trimate 2 . Is there a way for me to tell. Also everywhere I look it jumps from 1980 to 1982 can someone explain this?

Like I said, it's probably a custom build from '81, just not in the brochures after '79- they didn't plan on building any after that, but they still had the mold. If someone requested a Trimate, they would have built it.

So does that mean I can use the 1979 brochure for knowing what the heck I'm doing. This is my first real boat other then a lil fishing boat so I really need all the advice that I can get. The big help is the boat is in excelent shape and runs great. I just need hull care advice and I need to get the interior fixed a bit.

I would bet the Trimate II in the brochure is exactly the same as yours, but two other guys here, Cooperider and Reed, could tell you for sure. If you have questions about hull care just post em... that's not specific to any boat.
And :welcome:!
