Second time on the water

Finally got time to take the new boat out again. Gas gauge and water press both working now. I decided to give my 23" 3 blade a quick try today cause I was gonna have a load for a while. This thing was awsome! 67 and change with throttle left over. Was all over the rev limiter with close to 1/3 left! Even with a load of close to 1000lbs and a full gas tank, still hit 65 before the alarm went off. I can't wait to get some time alone in this thing with my 27" 4blade. Now that I have a water press gauge, I can play a bit. Looks like that will have to wait though, Thunder storms starting tomorrow right thru mem day. That just sucks! Oh well, got close to a full tank to burn on lake norman the next weekend!:thumb:

Went back out today. Weather was great! I put my 27" 4blade back on. With 5 people and full gas tank, it was still pretty strong getting on plane. Finally got to run it by my self and was not jumping for joy. I need a prop bad! Has anybody got one can try? Best I could get was 69.6 on the gps. I played with the jack plate some, when I hit the 69.6, I was already on the rev limiter. That speed is no were close to what a 27 should be doing. I started withthe prop buried and slowly raised it, if not for the limiter, I am sure it would have gone faster. With a good prop, shouldn't have to rev that high.
