:offtopic: BOATMAN FOUND A BAJA ABOUT 20 MILES AWAY GOING TO LOOK AT ITS A 220 I KNOW THATS A BAD WORD IN OUR BOOK,BUT I THINK PRICE MAY BE RIGHT,HAS A V8 JOHNSON ON IT,I FIGURE I CAN SELL THE MOTOR AND JUNK THE BOAT,ITS BEEN SITTING UNCOVERED,PROBALY HAS ALOT OF ROT,TRIALER SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD,BOAT WAS PARKED AFTER MOTOR PROBLEMS,GOING TO CHECK IT OUT AFTER WORK,SO I MAY HAVE A MOTOR AND ALOT OF PARTS FOR SALE SOON,CHECK YA LATER
 
Best I could get was 62 on the gps with 3 people and over 1/2 tank of gas. The guy I got it from said he seen 65, but that was at sea level. It was fast enough to out run my friends(maybe x-friend now)haha Baja with a 496. That made it a good day! He's not really mad, he just didn't like getting out run by both of my boats!lol Yes the V8 is for sale! Some one come and get it please! First $1500 takes the motor, the controls and cables, the hynautic hydraulic steering, 4blade SS renegade prop. Give this motor a new home! Please. boatman

how does the merc run vs the V8?I know it will be alot better on fuel?Post some pics when you get her right!!
 
second effort division used to put out a 400horsepower v-8
i don't know if it was a 3.6 or a 4.0 v-8

since the went to bpr i wonder if there are any left in back room somewere

None of the second effort stuff went to BRP. Any thing leftover and stilla few new things i believe are sold by a company in washington i believe. The first F1 v8's were 3.5litres 1980 i believe
