suction tube size

Can someone tell me what ID suction tube is in my gas tank? I have a 1996 convincer 253. I need 1/2" min. to feed my fuel pump. According to Aeromotive. My rubber line from the tank to the pump is 3/8". There is a 90 degree fitting on top of the tank that is threaded to a welded peice on the tank. can this be changed (easily)?
