What products to use to polish and wax a fadded metal flake checkmate??

I want to polish my Enticer in the next couple weeks. I want to know what everyone uses for the gel coat? Any products to stay away from? I was thinking of doing a medium cut/restorer(3m) then a coat of glaze to fill the scratches then a couple coats of wax. And do gel coats like the buffer on high speeds or low speeds? Any good brands of wax that wont wash off after the first cleaning? My boat is the light blue for 1980.
