Worm Viruses

I just thought I'd give everyone the heads up about a virus that has been going around. It's one called Worm_Klez. I'm going to provide a link to Trend, which is a company that makes virus protection software. They give a description of what the virus does and who is vulnerable to it.

The reason I'm posting this alert, is because the virus will often try to disguise itself as coming from someone you know. I'm the lucky recepient of at least a couple of these things a day. I've had a few which claim to be coming from another member of this site, where the virus obviously did not originate from.

So if you happen to receive an email which mentions Checkmate-Boats.com, or me, please be careful, it may not be authentic. Typically it will have an attachment which contains the virus, and if you click on it, and don't have the software updates and/or virus protection, you'll get it. I have proper virus protection which is updated regularly and all of the various software patches installed, so this virus is more of just an anoyance as far as I'm concerned. However, for someone without virus protection or the updates, it could cause some pretty serious problems. For more information try the links below.
