This was from this past june during my homeymoon in Lac du flambeau, wi! I miss summer.

Getting her packed up for the ride as we first went to mackinac island in michigan about 7 hour drive from me and then to lac du flambeau a 4.5 hour drive from mackinac. (got 14.5mpg towing her with my ram 5.7 2500 with 4.10 gears, I couldn't believe it)

Real nice pics.. Thanks for sharing. Down here it only stays cold for a few days at a time today it was 71 degrees.

JW-Yes you should recognize this boat, lol. See, its well taken care of! I love it with the 26 tempest instead of the 23 I can run 78.9mph on GPS. The boat is awesome!

Thanks for all the comments especially the one for BOTM, that would be an honor, lol

78.9 GPS seems high for a 225 EFI on a 2100BR, were you going down-river? :rof:

I've run into the previous owner and he was still really sad over losing that boat. I still kick myself once in a while for not making him an offer on it when he asked me to list it for sale for him! :D

Lol, Its an awesome rig. I had some EFI tunning done up here by shipyard marine in oshkosh, and also a ram air style intake. The boat would GPS 72.3 (Speedo read 78) when I got it home but would spin out the engine and the rev limiter and beeper would kick in. The previous owner told me that when he was wide open throttle for a while the motor would overheat and he would get a beep. Well it turns out the 23 tempest was not enough wheel for the engine to turn and the beep was the warning that the motor was over-reving. With that said, I have the custom tempest 26, its been cupped and dialed in for performance, A prop shop (Northside Prop Shop in Oconomowoc) up here did the tweaking of the prop. It has lots out of the hole and I can jack the motor way up for for the prop to grab some air in the process for a faster spin up top. I also had some nosecone work done to the motor so it picks up enough water when jacked way up. I am hoping to hit 80 this summer with the right conditions. I will get some video this summer of a WOT run with the GPS!! Its an awesome boat and The guy couldnt have been nicer. Let him know his baby is in great hands. On our honeymoon the boat launch employee laughed at us as we cleaned and armoralled the entire boat and trailer for 45mins before the trek home! he was like I've never seen anyone take the time to do that before, lol. I have grown up around boats my whole life as my uncle and my dad raced boats for the past 6 years. They started with a 42' fountain with 2 900 merc SC's (120+mph), and ended with the world record holding MTI 42' cat "Pair-a-dice" with 2 1200hp sterling quad charged engines (220+mph). The boat can be seen in the directors cut of miami vice (very beginning) along with bacardi silver. And it was featured on the travel channels million dollar machines.

This is the pic of the MTI

Here is a pic of my dad, brother, uncle, and cousins with the boat.

My old 18' exciter ran 68.7mph with a merc black max 175 and a high 5 merc 23
:)-If you ever get up to WI I would be happy to take you for a spin, just let me know-:)

If I may...

as the owner of a detailing shop, I must say NEVER, I mean NEVER use Armour All on ANYthing!!!! Also, NEVER use anything that contains silicone either!!!! Just ask the boys at Shipyard how my stuff is and if something is immaculate, Andy describes it as "Shameless" clean!! I got my Formula from them and they took my Fountain in on trade for me. Great group of guys there!!!

I call everything armorall, lol. Like kleenex. Its actually all 3m products i use. I use the conditioner on the vinyl and the cleaner on everything else. I do use meguires tire shine on the trailer tires though, mequires wax on the boat and meguires quick detailer between waxes. Thanks for the tip though. Had armorall been on sale at the same time the 3m stuff was I would have bought it and would have been using that on the boat for the past 3 years. Does it dry up the vinyl or something?

Gotcha, Yes, over time it will dry up rubber, vinyl, ect. As does anything with silicone! As I said before, great looking boat!!

Thanks alot and I appreciate the tip! What do you find that works best for the white vinyl seats. I have had to mix a light light light bleach solution to get some of the marks off. It works but I am sure its not good for the vinyl. I would also like something i can spray on and clean the whole seat with ither than just the areas with the marks. Thanks again!

People have been having great luck with the Magic Erasers on white vinyl.

Can't wait to see more pix and videos this summer! I'll see if I can show the original owner where he can see his old boat :thumb:

Thats a really good thought I didnt even think of trying one of those! It would be cool to get him on here to see the pics, It would even be cooler to get him up here to go for a ride!!!! He was such a great guy, who really didnt want to sell his pride and joy. Let me know if you get a hold of him!

For my business and personal use, I use majic erasers, well not that brand, but the same thing and I follow up with 303. For quick cleans, I always carry a bottle of Wizards Mist and Shine and a micro fibre, spray on, wipe off. But, I also carry erasers with me too... And you are correct, even a minute amount of bleach is not good for vinyl.

Here is my colors on my Formula, red and black are tought to keep rich and the white with the muddy Mississippi is always fun...click on the thumbnail to enlarge the pic...
