new carpet

What is a good source for new carpet for my boat?

Thanks
W Vaughan

I am sure there is other places and probably cheaper but I got it right from checkmate. I didnt think it was priced to bad but never checked anywhere else. I am sure others will have other sources for you also.

They told me they could no longer do the carpet for my Convincor. So, I am going to go through a local upholstery guy. He makes the pattern and then sends off for it. He said about $600 for the cockpit and cabin carpet.

I might know what exactly what your doing or maybe you have removable carpet?? I ordered bulk from Cmate and cut it to fit and glued it down. Wasnt a very big deal other than I had alot of time in it. I did have a carpet guy help me do the the actual floor of the boat. That took us about 6 hours then I did all the seat boxes ect myself.

Sorry i missed this. Yes, I have snap in carpet.

I bought gray marine carpet at home depot. Cost was $150 plus the glue needed was $16. Im installing it myself; Its an easy weekend job

I am in the same boat, looking for a new snap in, just emailed Checkmate to see if they will do it. Carpet is in mint condition, just the bottom is sticking to the boat floor and stays there when you take up the carpet. making a mess, had to steam clean it to get it off the floor.

Just talked with Mike at checkmate restore.. He said to check out Mat Works - http://www.matworks.com/ they do all the new ones.

Use a 40oz carpet and do an awesome job, way better than the glue down carpet they used in years past.

Just thought i would share going to give them a call now.

Thanks
