" For Sale" 1984 Convincor Twin Yamaha 220

Yeah, that's a long trip. We're heading to Michigan in June for nieces graduation. Brother and sister in-law live in Farmington Hills, and have a cabin on Rush Lake in Atlanta. That said, I'm not sure my 260K mile Tahoe is up for pulling it that far :o

" For Sale" 1984 Convincor Twin Yamaha 220

Had unexpected back surgery this winter, so would like to see if anyone is interested in picking up this project, and finishing it off. From what I learned, boat was a demo boat for Inland Marine in RI back in 84-86. Inland was one of the first Yamaha dealers, so they hung a pair of the biggest...

Can I get some opinions on this prop?

One other thing to keep in mind, the even numbered Lasers are for the small lower unit, the odd numbers are for the Alphas and larger V6 lower.

anyne ever tried ballast in the front of a 259/270?

I ended up with 200 lbs in front of the mirror on my twin OB 251. Had 250, but one came loose and made a mess, so now its 200. The weight really calmed down the cruise porpoise, and it handled 1-4' waves at mid speeds fine. I'm calling waves 1-4, but could have been more, we were getting bounced...

    Even More CL Finds!

That's the same color scheme as the twin OB Convincor I'm (slowly) working on. I wasn't sure what color the strips were supposed to be as they were missing when I bought the boat....now I know:thumb: Good thing it's so far away, wife would kill me if I brought another project home

    Question for twin outboard guys

I did figure out what was going on with the semi cleaver props. Turns out the right hand props are Yamaha drag props, and the left prop is a Ron Hill semi cleaver. When putting them side by side and really looking, you can see the differences in pitch, cup, and blade cord. Just not going to work...

    Question for twin outboard guys

Thought I would share a little prop info. Been messing around with differnet props, and engine heights. Was spinning a pair of 25 Mirage props. Set up on the lake, and jacked engines a little to get right RPM. Hole shot was weak ( no vent holes), but cruising to full throttle was all great...

    2800SX Outboard Restoration Begins!!!

I have that problem on a difference site after I got a new phone. If I opened pix in paint, and shrank them by 50%, then uploaded , they were fine. Never had an issue with full size on a 2nd site No idea why it did this, but maybe worth a try

    1979 exciter update
