  • Hi Rob,

You're best to post that question on the board.

Old Checkmate values can be all over the place depending on a number of factors including condition.

    -Chris
    Chris,

My name is Rob. I inherited a 1981 Checkmate boat this summer and I don't know anything about it. It has a 115 Mercury motor and trailer. It seems to be in very good condition other than a busted seat.

I picked you because you have the most posts so I assume you know a fair amount about Checkmates and also that you would have the time and be willing to help me.

I am trying to find a value for this and then sell it.

Is there anything you can do to help me get a ballpark figure to start.

    Thanks in advance.

    Rob
    Hi Convincor,

Just make a new and additional post in your for sale thread and attach your photos to it. You can only edit posts for a short time after you make them and the original post you made is almost a month old now. So make a new message and attach your pics to it. If you need instructions on how to attach your pics, try the picture posting instructions in the board feedback and support forum. If you have further problems, you can always post a question in that forum as well and we'll help you out.

Sorry for the delayed response, I've got to remember to start checking this profile message area more regularly.

It's a fairly new feature that I'm not used to yet.

    -Chris
Chris, can you put the aired out pic of my 24 on my sponsor pic instead of the blue flamed boat. Thanx, Randy
jl, thanks very much for your interest in supporting the forums - I certainly appreciate that. I sent you some info via PM, we just need to figure out what name you want to change to and we'll get 'er done. Read my PM though, as I wanted to point out a thing or two before I change it.

    Thanks again,

    -Chris
Hey Chris- I'm going to be becoming a supporting member, but I'd also like to change my screen name- what's the best order to go in?
    Hey Randy,

We've already got the vote going based on the existing pics.

We can use one of those pics next month if you don't make it through though. We should get Greg's permission prior though, as they're his pics.

    Amazing photography work he does!

I hope you make it into the Merc Calendar! :)

Email going on to you in a few moments with the snail mail address....

Did you find the thread on the ranks?

    -Chris
Thanks Chris, and if You could please send me the snail mail address so I can pay the subscription fee. I like the site so much I will become a paying member!!! bill_holtson@yahoo.com is me or bholtson@yahoo.com Thx!!!
    Hi Bill,

Thanks for joining up and for the kind words about the site. I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

I'm guessing you mean wannabe as in the title that is near your name when you post? If that's what you mean, that's just a level name that changes as your post count goes up. If you search in the board feedback forum, you'll find a thread where we discussed the various titles and levels, which were ultimately picked by the community. ;)

    -Chris
Hey Chris I wanted to take a sec and introduce myself... My name is Bill from AZ. New owner of a JetMateII and I came across your forum and love it!!! Quick question what is wannabe and how do you advance past it on your forum?
    Hi Tracy,

Try the picture posting thread that is located in the "picture this" forum. It's pinned to top of that forum to make it easy to find. There are two sets of instructions, one for supporting members and one for non-supporters. So you need to follow the non-supporting set where you hot-link to your images which are hosted elsewhere.

    Chris,
