    Points to electronic ignition

Yes, depending on where it comes from it can be done rather inexpensively.. However there are still non high out put systems out there and there are still places that offer points distributors.. :irked: :rof: As far as the stripe, I dont know if I would call it a fondness.. lol I know you...

    I need a new carb...

Both are good carbs. The holley IMO allows for more tuning & options and upgrades long term. The holley also genrally will need a special feed line, trottle cable bracket & adaptors to work on your set up. The edelbrock would be a little faster & easier to install in place of a Q jet, or...

    Points to electronic ignition

Ahhh, the infamous pink stripe!!.. lol No, I was talking about HEI, not DUI.. There is a dui set up, but it is not what we generally use or install. I have a GM HEI marine style kit that works quite well that has a HEI coil with it. IMO that is as good as you will get before you go to a full...

    Points to electronic ignition

We have a marine HEI system that comes with a new HEI coil as well. It uses the tall style HEI cap. It is a pretty easy straight forward install if you have replaced distributors before.. They are fairly inexpensive too! :) Jamie / Lakeside

280 ZT 454 need more power

Fooling with the ECM on a stock engine is a waste of time & money for the most part. It would be more worth while & recommended when you have done many upgrades. Depending on how far you really want to go sometimes getting a different engine is a more realistic option. If you are just looking...

280 ZT 454 need more power

The most basic & safest is the exhaust first. You will need it anyway if you want to build big power down the road. Then usually things like intake, fuel system or carb, heads cam, etc.. We sell these items & offer these upgrade services. If I can be of further help feel free to call me.. :)...
