  • How is your boat doing? I have an 82 predictor in very good condition. I bought back in Sept. for short money and brought it home to a heated garage. Excellent boat until I pulled up the carpet. I don't need to post pictures, just look at yours they are nearly identical. I used a die grinder around the perimeter and took out the mulch that used to be a floor. The foam looked good at first but when i shoved a crowbar down into it, it all turned out to be soaked at least up to the dash. the cloth over the balsa core looked very good until I gave it a couple of days to dry out where I could then see where the cloth had lifted from the basla. I scored the edges with the grinder and peeled back the cloth with a flatbar. the core is soaked and I managed to scrape it out with a craftsman ocillating tool with the flush cut saw attachment. Let me know how far along you are with your project and when I learn to navigate this site as well as my boat, I'll write back. Thanks, Ron Z.
