i used sikaflex - its great stuff, stronger than the plywood, when it cures, you can trim off some of the excess with a sharp blade.

Maximum Strength

If you want maximum strength use epoxy thickened with " milled fibers " Use your fingers to make a nice curved fillet befor it hardens and you'll have a good radius for your cloth or mat. The bonus of using epoxy is that you get a longer working time befor it kicks off.:bigthumb:
WHAT SHOULD I USE TO GLUE MY STRINGERS DOWN BEFORE I GLASS EM IN?

I used dura-glass. Its bondo with glass fibers in it. Tested it on a bunch of wood before I started using it. Never broke the bondo, wood yes, bondo no. You can get it at your local parts store. When you bond the stringer down make sure you smooth the 90 deg angle where the stringer meets the hull. I smoothed in a nice 45 deg angle. The reason for this is because the fiberglass does not like the sharp corners.

I would use marine grade sealant (3m) to glue the stringer down. Much easier to lay a bead with a cauking gun than messing w/ epoxy. Any spluge can be cleaned off using a putty knife before it cures. Anything else can be cleaned off w/ Asitone, Mek or Alcahol. I use this stuff every day it's your best bet.

I just glassed mine down. Two 1" strips of mat. Screwed a couple of pieces of strapping across the top to hold it together and then weighted it down till cured. Then I glassed the stringers onto the hull. It all just cures together as one...bottom strips and sides. The tops of the stringers I left resin free until I glassed the floor onto the stringers with 1" strips of mat and no mechanical fasteners. Again just weighting it down till cured. Finished product...water tight, and all the same medium; polyester fiberglass.
