Looks good man but I would get a Holley carb

thats the plan, im gonna leave that chitty intake and carb on until its all broke in, and im sure of what the alpha 1 can hold... i already got the "good stuff" on the shelf.. for lack of a better excuses, that intake and carb are gonna kinda "put a sock in it".. i got the cam and heads to make more but keeping it tame until im sure of everything..:bigthumb:

Thats my question and where I am at. Thats why I went with the stern drive outdrive. 3 year no fault warranty, I have a fear its going to last about 2 1/2 years:thumb:.

Where did you get the valve covers? Looks like no spacers with them and should clear roller rockers??? I went through a trial and error trying to get something to work with my setup but do not like the spacers I am running. Also check your shift cable bracket, I had to get a BFH to give my cover a attitude adjustment so it could all clear

i actually bought em from a swap meet for 20 bucks.. no spacers anywhere, got about 1/4" clearance between the covers and manfolds, and i can still get em off!! i guess i just got lucky, i saw em and thought they might work, they got more angle on the one side, and for 20 bucks what the heck..:thumb:

Buss.....that stinks man:(. I would be sick if I saw that on my boat. You weren't the only one with issues, I think I have a drive coupler going bad on my old Sea Ray too. Well, on the upside of things, we can both be out breaking in new motors this weekend:banana:! That small block looks nice.....like the fabricated covers. I can't wait to see how much that Senator livens up.
