1st day of pleasure boating in 8 months!!

JUPITER PULSARE

Well-known member
Sunday was the 1st day of really getting to enjoy the boat instead of turning wrenches or working on her! We ran from Jupiter Inlet to St Lucie Inlet and had lunch at Shrimpers in the Manatee Pocket. Then, we ran back south again to County Line Sandbar for some swimming. I had 6 people in the boat and 96 gallons of gas. I didn't get a GPS reading (I was trying to behave myself) but even with the full load and new cabin the boat still jumped on plane and both motors showed 6000rpm with more room left!!

Nice! I love the way your boat has turned out Steve!! Thanks to your pics i am pretty sure that when i get the Enforcer done and am back down to one boat i will start shopping for a 2800SX to revive!

Great looking boat! One of the sweetest sounds in the world is twin outboards humming!

I have to admit I am jealous about you guys down in Florida...we just got another round of snow up here in Michigan last night and a couple of weeks ago I talked to our Marina at our Lake, there was still 2.5 FEET!!!! of ice. Depressing...:yell:

Like I said before, "one of a kind" for sure and the cause of much boat envy!! Did you secure the 2.5's? Someday before I am too old to do it,

Yes, I secured the 2.5's. They are Mariners off of a fishing boat. The starboard powerhead is in great shape. The port powerhead will need 1 piston and cylinder bore and carb cleaning...

See I am old got interrupted and did not finish my thought. Before I am too old I will tow my boat to Florida and enjoy the type of boating you do routinely, Although I think the 2100br might be a little small, and I hope to move up next year, I did, and may still have some pictures Pirate Joe gave me of the Hydrostream Voyager and I think your old boat "out" there a ways.

Yeah, we used to do alot of boating with Pirate Joe and his son Tommy. In fact, I was with Pirate Joe this past tuesday night at a Jupiter tavern called Corners for acoustic jam night. Joe and Tommy sold the Hydrostreams and haven't been in the performance boating scene for a while. Tommy has a small center console..and they still have an old Hydrostream Viper that needs to be put back together. By the way, I boated for years in my 21' Pulsare...it was a perfect size for most situations. Big enough to blast by all the lightweights (Hydrostreams, STV's, Actions, Allisons) when the water got snotty and small enough to be competively fast. I would love to have a Pulsare 2100 long deck with a 300xs!!

Glad to hear Joe is alive and well, after we met him and he recounted some of his life experiences, I was concerned about his longevity, but I have to admit we spent two hours with him and felt like we knew him for years.

And yes I agree, the 2100br has a 250 ProXs with the torque master I wish it had a 300 as well. Maybe someday in the next few years I may drag it down. I do know one thing the 2100 is an easy tow. When we brought the Hydrostream back from Florida we made the same time as the trip down.

Again, great boat, excellent work, post some off shore videos when you can.
