Can anyone identify the manufacturer of these Checkmate shift controls? Have looked at several and can't seem to find a match.
Sorry, best pic I can find.

Thanks

I do the same thing. :poke:If you do buy the boat and want to replace the controls I would be interested in buying those.

They can be disassembled and powder coated any color you want. New Livorsi/Gaffrig ones are very spendy!

Thanks GF. I could live with the white levers, but would at least like to get some color on the covers. However, now that I think about it, colored levers would really make it pop. Man, you guys make me want to spend some money.

And yeah, they ARE VERY PROUD of their controls.

Nah, I'm the same way. I already have the rims, tires and lift picked out for my new truck that I haven't bought yet!!

Oh ya, been there done that, I have a 4" lift kit right now sittin in my shop for a Ford truck I don't even own yet ---- but it'll be ready the next time I own a 2008 to 2010 F250 ;)

Well, I know where a nice 2008 F250 6.4L Diesel is up for auction .......only 118k miles! Oh, all is perfect, except for the hole in #2 piston.....Built Ford Tough my azz!

LMAO!!!

Buddy had 07 or 08 6.4. Driving down the highway and it just quit. Hauled it to Ford and they said that they had no idea what the problem was, it just started running again. Took it home and traded it the next day for a Duramax.

Mine was my work truck I have driven since it was new. Very well maintained, only Rotella oil too. This is the first vehicle blow up that I have had where it is from NOT abusing it. Emissions system on it sucked and the amount of slow driving/idling we do stuck a valve and cracked a piston. Showed itself as just a missfire at warm idle. Took it to Ford dealership, they had it for a week, first claimed bad #2 injector.....$995 part only....replaced it.....still missfiring. Called us up, said it had compression loss to crankcase in #2 cylinder but was slight. Told us to drive it until it has a "real" problem. Apparently that takes exactly 3 days to happen. Day 1 & 2 back from shop, drove perfectly. Day #3 starts runnin like chit, smoking blue, and missing bad. I took it down the road to clean it out.....noticed blowby fumes coming out from under the hood......she done!

Gonna go back to gassers for my next F250....which have their own special problems. I tried to have them get me a Chevy...no luck. I am loving my 2015 Silverado from Enterprise Rent a Car right now though....they are sweet and go like stink for the 5.3.

The EPA ruined diesels IMO.

And with the experience I have firsthand witnessed between our 9 fleet vehicles and the ones my mother insisted on buying (F350 dually for her horse trailer...whole nother story on that one), I will never pay money to own one. GM products have predictable components that fail.......Fords seem to have random very expensive failures....There is a reason Chevy's cost more than a Ford.....cause they are worth it!

Hell, the EPA has ruined everything it's touched!! They are the reason I bought my Duramax in 2009. So far, I haven't had any problems and I don't have to use that DEF stuff either. I was very lucky, as many friends that have bought 2010's and later have had multiple problems.

From all that I have read, the 6.4 Powerstroke is only eclipsed in problems by the 6.0 Powerstroke. 6.7's seem better, but the jury is still out. IMO.. Just haven't been able to bring myself to buy a Powerstroke. My SIL has one and he loves it. Guess that's why the USA has freedom of choice, at least for a little while longer.

So, back to Mercury Controls..... Do most like the Zero Effort controls?

I have kiekhaefer and like them. Only complaint is my trim switch is on the steering and not the throttle.
