I’m Back! A New Restoration Begins!

JUPITER PULSARE

So, after selling my 2800 SX Outboard and Pulsare 2400 Bowrider, I tried a small slow CC Baracuda 188 which I sold during Covid for a huge profit. I brought back to life a 1992 Nova Spyder 230 with a 454 Magnum. That was an extremely fun boat and sold for a good profit. Next I bought a Cobalt 263 that sat for 9 years with a frozen motor. I did a complete Volvo Penta 8.1L engine rebuild that turned into a super expensive lesson and lost money on that sale. Next I bought a new Winnebago travel trailer and went boatless for a quite a while. I swore I was done with boat restorations…until I stumbled into a gofast center console that wasn’t even for sale! A friend of a friend had a Paramount 21 Super Fisherman sitting for 5 years neglected. He bought a pontoon boat and the Paramount was “forgotten” about. After a conversation, he agreed to sell me the boat…and another restoration begins!

The motor is a Merc 3L 225 EFI mounted on the transom. It should run about 60 mph. I’ll eventually add a hydraulic backplate for better top end numbers. I even have an inside line on a gold block 250xs (274hp) if I start getting crazy!

So far I have high-speed wheeled the entire boat to bring back some shine. Replaced the broken Fariah tach and speedometer with some Mercury gages that were pulled out of my Pulsare 2400 when I switched that boat to SmartCraft gages, removed the foam from under the gunnels in the bow and had new custom vinyl seats made!
